Transportation lifelines are the infrastructural network within the transport system which assures to a community its social, economic and environmental needs. It is fundamental to analyze the vulnerability of infrastructural lifelines due to the risk exposure arising from natural hazards. There is a high level of dependence by other lifeline utilities on the transport networks. An interruption of the road network may well result in the consequential loss of another service. Abstract

The present paper moves in this direction, dedicating particular attention to the highway system, proposing a fuzzy methodology finalized to the assessment of the landslides susceptibility of the system.
