Abstract

The question that we want to demonstrate in an original way for this progress of research from its theoretical assumptions, is how the contextual condition of a new g-localism of the territories can trigger processes of planning and sustainable strategies, capable of modifying the same references related to the dimension of "commuting" of fluid communities, through urban and inland areas. This means giving new meaning in contemporary terms, assigning an effective size of commuting "round-trip" in this new co-territorial geography and including the exchange of values, contexts and communities. A relationship on multi-levels, which can "convert", "switch" the conditions of the periphery of internal territories and sprawl of urban areas in a "regenerative" structure of social, economic and environmental impact of natural and man-made scenarios. An appropriate management of physical, demographic and economic distance, able to respond in a resilient mode to the particular geographical conditions of the places involved, as the more global issue of local government effects of climate change and land/soil use as to the processes of co-governance for a new demographics of the population, which involves different communities and that becomes useful resource to enable territorial cohesion processes and new economies
