In recent years the international demand of air transport is increasing. Nevertheless, it must deal with the policies of network rationalization and costs containment pursued so much by the authorities of government how from manytransport operators. It can be useful a support decision tool to direct the choices of measures planning to the best in the sector. The decisions to activate airport structures on a territory, air routes toward new destinations, new facilities and operational services of transport on the surrounding regional basin the airport, are not easy and can induce remarkable impacts on the economic and social system. This subject can be faced in terms of accessibility analysis, taking into account different scales of observation. In the paper a methodological approach of accessibility analysis is proposed, concerning the access to an airport, in a macroregional context, finalized to scenario evaluations. A specific application is proposed besides, focussed on the Strait Airport, serving a metropolitan area (Messina-Reggio Calabria) in the South of Italy, related to some hypotheses of enhancement of local transport network and airside supply, comparing attractiveness of two other narrow airports.
