The study focused on the little-know figure of Rubens Corrado, belonging to that category of engineers and architects of whom there are no exhaustive descriptions in existing publications other than those few pieces of information found in Archives and Libraries. Rubens Corrado was born in Canolo, a mountain village in the Locride (RC), and graduated in mechanical engineering from Milan Polytechnic in 1905. This brief knowledge gave rise to the need for a scientific investigation of his professional figure and his architecture. In order to delineate the figure of Corrado historiographically, it was necessary to make an excursus on the styles of the same period of activity, inserting brief notes. The result is a designer who in many cases shows a repertoire of great interest and quality. He began his career in the early 1900s in Venice with private architecture and restoration work until he reached the African epilogue, where he contributed to the construction of institutional sites and urban interventions. The research activity was divided into three types, research in archives and libraries to find as much documented information as possible, interviews with family members and comparisons with technicians and scholars, as well as surveys in Venice, particularly in the Lido area, thus reconstructing a map of his works with reconnaissance between permanence and demolition. From the study emerged a professionist, who although he does not play a fundamental role in the national art nouveau panorama shows remarkable design skills.
