In a moment of history in which we live every day the stranger and the different as a source of anxiety, the architecture questions the future on the basis - as always - of its pre-figurative character. If, however, the prefiguring is the inherent act in the project that anticipates, foresees and directs new and unprecedented ways of living in the house and the city, today Western architectural theory finds itself having to prefigure private and collective spaces destined for different cultures, anticipating a dreamed and desired cohesion. The design transposition of such "diversity" would require the total revision and re-elaboration of the customs of thought developed, following precise and secular religious, political and economic constructions that have always characterized the difference between ways of being in the world. The deep risk, however, is always the rereading and interpreting other lives with eyes that support a partial and minority look compared to the entire geographical extension of the world.
