The wine, connected with other elements tied to the territory as natural resources, culture, traditions, local uses, can constitute a fundamental factor of social and economic development of a territory whose areas maintain a particular tradition tied to the wine This explains the success of wine tourism, in which wine becomes object of interest together with all of this to it connected, as for instance the techniques of production, the places and the methods of production, the vines, the new varieties, etc.. In Italy around the wine it stirs a turn of business of around 8 million of European annual and the production of the period 2000/2004 have recorded a 4% increase.
