Abstract
The authors present the results of two years of research on the distribution in the field and in the plant of the adults Capnodis tenebrionis in an apricot orchard in Sicily (Italy). The application of spatial interpolation (IDW) technique has permitted to create some maps of distribution of the adult phytophagous insect. The monthly distributions were realized since the appearance of the adults in field to their disappearance for the wintering. The study also investigated distribution on individual plants in regard the sun exposure. The two years interpolation maps did not reveal any substantial differences. The two year data so obtained offer useful information on sampling and control programs. All of the techniques used evidenced that the variation in distribution of the Buprestid in the field and the influence exerted by areas in different months with the greatest sun expose (south-east) were marked by the highest densities.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
