Abstract

The survey of the former monastery of San Salvador in Venice has been planned to try to overcome difficulties due to the existing lack of normalization in architectural survey. For the first time in Venice the most advanced surveying techniques were used: analytical photogrammetry, computer graphics, high precision measurements, together with the traditional ones, linked by a methodology that can insure verifiable and homogeneous results and the possibility to assemble them in a readily accessible database.
