In the paper, the maximum force produced by wind generated waves on offshore maritime structures (gravity offshore platforms, space frame structures) will be calculated. For this purpose, the quasi-determinism theory of wave groups in sea states, introduced by Boccotti (2000) will be used. The results for the vertical legs of the space frame platform, obtained applying this theory, will also be compared with the new criterion proposed by Barbaro (2006) for regular waves.

Abstract
