The paper describes part of the results of a PhD research in structural engineering on biocomposite materials for the building sector at DICEAM Department of Mediterranea University of Reggio calabria. The first author, Francesca Giglio is scientific responsible of research (with prof Adolfo Santini), and has therefore taken care of the methodological and experimental aspects. The second author, Giulia Savoja, developed her PhD thesis, of which some data obtained from tests carried out at the Materials Characterization Laboratory TEST MAT & COM of the Building Future Lab (UNIRC), of which Francesca Giglio is co-responsible.
