In the last years, the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) had a growing interest from the research that has led to an important review of the scientific and legal literature in this area. The increased awareness of the health risks from exposure to air pollution in confined spaces and the shared opinion that to ensure the quality of life of people is necessary to design healthy homes, led the IAQ issues, such as control of thermo-hygrometric parameters - the air changes - the safety regulations, to be addressed today alongside typical topics of urban planning and sustainable design evaluating innovative aspects such as compatibility between different functions of the building and landscape design. The building is a container of activities and behaviors and to design healthy buildings you need to think about each space in respect of all the factors that have some relevance in better or worse living conditions.
