The coastal towers of Calabria Ultra, cultural landmarks and landscape icons, represent a tourism development opportunity for southern Italy. The To_Know project1 aims to transform the towers into hubs for sustainable tourism: catalysts for suggestions and repositories of multiscalar information. The storytelling, implemented through virtual and augmented reality techniques, will connect the towers with local traditions, landscapes, and the stories linked to them, promoting a new way of telling the history of the coasts of Calabria Ultra.
