Abstract
A theory of fractional-order thermal energy transfer, recently proposed by one of the authors, is extended here to non-homogeneous conductors. Material inhomogeneity and long-range thermal energy transport are considered for an insulated conductor material in 1D and 2D cases. Some numerical applications, showing the capability of the proposed non-local model to approach diffusive thermal energy transport, are reported.File in questo prodotto:
