The overtaking manoeuvre is a critical phase in a single lane two way extra urban road, in fact, the accidents caused by wrong behaviours during this manoeuvre is around the 10% of the total. Different theoretical models have been developed and proposed to study and to analyse the users behaviour during this manoeuvre and to calculate the passing sight distance (PSD), particularly, in the last years some schematizations have been proposed that introduce the concept of critical point. But, to define stretches on a single lane two way road where overtaking can be done in safety, is not enough to guarantee suitable qualitative standards of circulation. In fact, contextually it is essential to evaluate the influence that the conditions of flowing have on the driver and on its risk perception. In the present study, using concepts typical of the logical fuzzy, a special behavioural model is developed to characterize and quantify of the safety standards connected to the manoeuvre of overtaking on two way roads.
