The paper proposes an analysis of the cost of planting an artificial truffle ground based on a concrete case related to a plant built by an innovative entrepreneur at Locri in the pre-Aspromontana area. the analysis carried out shows that the investment can be proposed both technically and economically. Technically it is feasible because the truffle is already present in several pre-aspromontana areas, in the spontaneous state, while for the cultivated one there is a real protocol developed by truffle experts, even if the intervention of an agronomist or forest expert is essential. Economically, it can also be achieved following the aid that is currently granted by the Calabria Region pursuant to Measure 8.1.1 of the 2014-2020 RDP
