Abstract

The debate about the transformation of the city and the existing project represents a matter of interest, becoming a pretext to investigate the topic of the new quality of life, characterized by a more ecological and sustainable concept. This is based on strategies of recycling city space, mutant hybridizations of the architecture system, both functional and technological, creating flexible and multifunctional interrelations between public and private spaces, decoding and innovating the lexicon and the reading process of the same built. The performed research shows how the architecture technology, through the development of an appropriate methodology, is able to create a dialogue and a comparison with other Nations, updating own status compared to new themes and new requests of the society and the contemporary World. The thematic testing ground has been calibrated to deliver a relevant and updated framework of the transformations, involving the public and social housing, starting from the choice of the contents, European experiences and the analyses of Italian case studies. Definitions and directives already existing in the Literature have been acquired, with particular attention, recreating a scenario allowing to reflect on the contamination and hybridizations of the built, with a series of considerations about theories and practices of recycling of the existing and its historical, material, technological and morphological components. Moreover, the analysis of the context and the valorization of the same build, the volume increases, variously adapted and interpreted, can convert isolated and unregulated opportunities in a repeatable and adaptable strategy, within the field of urban requalification processes. This procedure derives from the analysis of significant experiences performed in the field of innovation of light prefabrication systems, where the supervision of environmental factor allows to operate micro additional transformation works on the building-housing system, improving performance and therefore promoting actions of technological and energy retrofits: the requalification by addition contributes to give high quality to the space built. The research work, beyond the contribution to the transfer of knowledge and education of the theme, identifies a reading process of the building to recover, with the consequent proposal feasibility of transformative additional intervention with high added value. The aim of the research product is to suggest codified and planning guidelines and technologic solutions to be adopted in the requalification project of the residential building, having, as main target, the Public Administration.
