L'ATTUALITA' DEL PENSIERO DI HASSAN FATHY NELLA CULTURA TECNOLOGICA CONTEMPOREA

The environmental issue offers new opportunities for many areas of scientific research to critically review some of the thoughts and deeds accrued during the period of the so-called rule of reason: it was the period which saw the supremacy of technology over nature as a prerequisite to progress. In architecture you look at what has happened in the last hundred years with a critical sense renewed. The context, the place, the environment, climate and their relationship with architecture, as well as representing the legacy of Hassan Fathy, for scholars of Culture Technology of Environmental Design, is the recurring themes of our research.

La questione ambientale propone nuove opportunità per molti settori della ricerca scientifica di rivedere criticamente alcuni pensieri ed opere maturati nel periodo del cosiddetto dominio della ragione: era l'epoca che vedeva il sopravvento della tecnica sulla natura come presupposto al progresso. Anche in architettura si osserva quanto è successo negli ultimi cento anni con un senso critico rinnovato. Il contesto, il luogo, l'ambiente, il clima e i loro rapporti con l'architettura, oltre a rappresentare l'eredità di Hassan Fathy, per gli studiosi della Cultura Tecnologica della Progettazione Ambientale, sono i temi ricorrenti delle nostre ricerche.
