DESIGN & MEMORY - freshman RC 74-27 March 2013 - reports The " International Competition of ideas for the development of the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria in reference to the cultural and territorial city "is promoted by the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion - Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Heritage and Culture - Regional Directorate for Calabria, Calabria Region and the Municipality of Reggio Calabria. The competition for Reggio Calabria ended on March 28, 2013. Design is modernity, innovation and strategy. Memory is consciousness, past, history. We believe that art and design are our formidable heritage, that the synergy of these combined can design and produce innovative access scenarios, visit and knowledge, and that the recognition of the museum's treasures can pass through simplified icons and quick and continuous consumption as well as fun. We therefore suggest to promote and manage the art through the strategic tools of design. Here is the first series: for a modern appeal and discover our treasures. Through this project wants to show only one of many possible attempts to provide small and large that accompany them a world of possibilities for discovery, knowledge and memory of our culture and that draw them together in a pleasant day spent at the museum. We propose the creation of possible games with small number of elements that, when over-dimensioned and arranged in the spaces - even outdoors in the courtyard of the Archaeological Museum - becomes a simple staging of scenes, ie components can be combined and removable, depicting places of antiquity, such as a house, a street, a temple, a ship, a vegetable garden, a laboratory, even a construction site, with tools, utensils, containers, and which are included in the context and reproduce customs and basic construction techniques. A specific sample offered to the visitor with small drawings and simple questions to ask during the visit through an album, a puzzle, a set of cards to dial then in the correct sequence, the kit installation will vary and will be renewed continuously and can also be conducted in a non-economic and salable online. - http://deepsdesignbycpolidori.blogspot.it/2013/03/normal.html.
