A group of buildings in Messina, that was financed, designed and built during the fascist regime - the INFPS, the INFAIL, the Fascism House (GIL), the maritime and railway station - is characterized by stone coverings subjected over time to revival interventions that are difficult to count as "restorations". Perhaps, because this type of "finishing" was not considered worthy of historical-cultural attention. Therefore, beginning from the collation of the documentation regarding the construction phases of the maritime and railway station wrapping, a critical consideration was started on the methods with which the interventions were conducted, imagining virtual de-restoration actions and hypothesizing actions congruous to the recognized value. This path required a conceptual reflection on the "Maintenance Plan" when it has to accompany an intervention on the historic built. What contents should we imagine for this mean? Which other instruments of historical documentation are necessary for the construction phases? It is not possible to avoid giving methodologically adequate answers in the case of a uninterrupted use of a cultural asset.

Abstract
It is not possible to avoid giving methodologically adequate answers in the case of a uninterrupted use of a cultural asset.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
