The paper presents a general procedure, supported by a system of simulation models, for the estimation of effects on users (demand level variations) and on transit companies (management revenues), due to the implementation of an integrated fare system in regional transit services. In particular, the demand is assumed to be elastic to the fare at the modal and path choice dimensions. The general procedure is applied to the transit system of an Italian regional area.

Abstract
The paper presents a general procedure, supported by a system of simulation models, for the estimation of effects on users (demand level variations) and on transit companies (management revenues), due to the implementation of an integrated fare system in regional transit services. In particular, the demand is assumed to be elastic to the fare at the modal and path choice dimensions. The general procedure is applied to the transit system of an Italian regional area.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
