The evaluation of Public Transport (PT) performance is a complex problem due to the different objectives pursued by three main different stakeholders: service provider, customers, community. The paper proposes a reference scheme in order to define univocally a system of PT performance indicators and a specific methodology to define and calculate a set of coherent and non-redundant performance indicators. The analysis focus in particular a set of accessibility parameters as measures of Public Transport Networks performance which may represent an interesting decision support system to orient choices of PT policy-makers. In the paper, a preliminary review of reference literature is illustrated, specifically addressed on the PT performance valuation and on accessibility models. Therefore an orderly and organic framework of PT network performance indicators is proposed, including accessibility and attractiveness indicators. Finally an original approach is carried out for accessibility analyses, taking into account information about the structures of the PT networks. And some applications are presented as exemples of the methodological approach
