Abstract
The contribution proposed here is intended to contribute to the debate on the role of research infrastructures in the dynamics currently affecting the construction industry, requiring continuous revisions and innovative thrusts, where there is a need to develop innovative envelopes with performance responses linked to contextual variables. In this perspective, the role of research centres carrying out testing activities assumes particular relevance, so that the approach based on measurements in a "simulated" regime seems to be strategic for the actors of the building sector. This is the background to the innovative and in some respects unique test laboratory at the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria, the TCLab of the Building Future Lab. Specifically, TCLab offers certification and testing services in the construction sector based on Test and Testing activities that are implemented according to standardised or experimental protocols. This Laboratory therefore intends to represent a conceptual innovation for Advanced Testing of building performance, with the intention of overcoming the traditional method of transferring construction experience, aiming to achieve innovative processes through experimental experiences guided by processes and actions that have as their vision the validation of new performances that are required by the "city of the future"I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
