The research analyses the characteristics and dimensions of the sheep and goat farming sector in the area of Aspromonte in Calabria, and aims to underline the peculiarities of its production chain. Additionally, various data concerning facilities and productive processes were collected for the purpose of establishing a clear expression of the economic aspects relative to the transformation phases that occur in a production chain. This data was used as the basis of an analytical study to determine the conditions for economic efficiency and sustainability in regard to technical and structural typologies.

Abstract
