The paper focuses on the role of Urban Planning in the implementation of the sustainability goals, with specific reference to the ecological-environmental aspects. A far-sighted and broad perspective is in fact necessary, going beyond the logic of emergency in favour of innovative models of integrated development, including the environmental aspects and the social ones in a unified vision.
