The study and the experimentation of Medical Humanities in Italy Italy presents a “patchy” situation, continually changing. In Medical Humanities and especially through reflective practice, draw up the so-called “state of art” does not constitute the most intense point or greater value in the study, because meanings, representations and qualitative data are educational categories continuously “under analysis.” Reflective practice allows us, in fact, by means of specific evaluation methods and tools, to attribute a “scientific” value to the work, but you never reach a whole state of the art, in contrast to other research fields defined “hard”. On the other hand, if it is true that medicine is not an “exact science”, educational research on the medical and health professions can only be complex and uncertain, with the aim of “transforming” reflexively the professional practice contexts in which it occurs. From this perspective, we believe that the “cornerstones” of Medical Humanities, as interpreted in the Italian context, are the constructs of “reflective practice” and “transformative learning”. It was considered useful, finally, to include a bibliography of the main publications with an educational and formative perspective on Medical Humanities, Narrative Based Medicine, complexity in medicine, medicine and humanities.

Abstract
It was considered useful, finally, to include a bibliography of the main publications with an educational and formative perspective on Medical Humanities, Narrative Based Medicine, complexity in medicine, medicine and humanities.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
