The proposed work explores the role of social innovation in promoting and implementing new ideas, methods, business models, services, and products aimed at addressing complex issues such as poverty, exclusion, and social inequality, with the goal of achieving widespread well-being. This form of innovation seeks to as- sume social, economic, and environmental responsibility within a given territory. The objective is to foster a more equitable, sustainable, and long-lasting working environment that contributes to the achievement of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, ultimately supporting the creation of a more inclusive, fair, and sustainable world. Active participation by individuals, communities, businesses, associations, in- stitutions, and the broader territory is essential in a participatory design process that integrates eco-social issues. While these issues may sometimes appear disconnected from design practices, they are in fact integral to the development of socially effi- cient systems, welfare, environmental protection, and the enhancement of territo- rial contexts. Through structured, bottom-up experiences, the work promotes urban and social revitalization by leveraging local skills and fostering open, inclusive dia- logue. This approach encourages social inclusion and sustainable action, particularly in disadvantaged areas and smaller territories, helping to counter depopulation and strengthen the sense of belonging to one’s place. Educating citizens to value and disseminate their cultural heritage increases individual and collective identity aware- ness, reinforcing community cohesion and social resilience
