Abstract
Wan and Liu in Arch Appl Mech 93:1699–1723, 2023 published in this journal the so-called VML criterion, a failure criterion for geomaterials. The starting point of Wan and Liu was a model by the writer (Mortara in Géotechnique) who formulated a function including the well-known criteria by Matsuoka and Nakai [7] and Lade and Duncan [5]. This paper will demonstrate how VML criterion lacks utility as it actually coincides with the formulation by Mortara [8]. Some errors in the discussed paper will be reported.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
