This paper investigates the performance of pavement reinforced with geogrids under hard aircraft impact load. Analyses on computer models of different flexible airport surfaces were performed by using the finite element method. The results obtained show that the glass fiber grids can be used to improve the performance of flexible pavements and can provide a relevant contribution to the resistance to crack propagation.

Abstract
