The use of Preisach function approximation in modeling the hysteresis for the nonoriented steel was discussed. The Lorentzian function was proposed as the possible candidate for the accurate modeling of scalar hysteresis for grain steels. In regard with it, the numerical computations required for determining the Preisach function from the experimental reverse curves were also derived.
