IL SISTEMA CARTA DELLA NATURA PER LA PIANIFICAZIONE DI RETI ECOLOGICHE: IL CASO VAL BAGANZA (PR)

Carta della Natura Information System for planning ecological networks: the case of the Baganza river valley (PR, Italy) This article describes a methodology based on Systematic Conservation Planning techniques that, starting from the Carta della Natura Information System related to a certain area - e.g. the Baganza river Valley (Parma, Italy) - identifies the ecological network (EN) scenario as interconnected system of natural habitats, that best fits to the ecologic-environmental goals and to the parameters fixed by the decision maker (public administration or private authority). The flexibility of the proposed method allows to change the information or to introduce further data, in compliance with the imposed politic-administrative restrictions so as to obtain, each time, an EN that satisfies the conservation goals as much as possible.
