The Mosaic of Landscape and Culture: the Mediterranean Diet for the “Renaissance” of a Calabrian Hinterland Area. ThispaperdealswithaninnovativeapproachtotheMediterraneanDietstartingfromanexperimentalplanof operation. This plan aims to promote the spread of a new concept taking into account not only the nutritional characteristics of the food but also its impact on the urban layout and development of the hinterland areas. This rationale underlies the research carried out at the Laboratory of economic and survey-based evaluation LaborEst which is part of the PAU Department of “Mediterranea” University of Reggio Calabria (Italy). This research falls within the realm of the Integrated Project of Local Development “Slow Life”. Travelling immersed in the culture and nature of the Aspromonte National Park from Tre Pizzi to Limina’, an experience involving the implementation of integrated interventions on the local resources of a Calabrian hinterland area, which highlights the great potential of the Mediterranean Diet in terms of local development processes.
